Sapta Shloki (Seven Verses)
Seven Verses ( Sapta Shloki descended through Parama Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj, Son of Man 27th September 1944)
1) Yada srishtam jagat sarwam
Tada lo kapita maha
Chaturweda samayuktam
Shash watam dharma madishat
Along with creation Almighty Father
revealed the eternal principles of religion
(Law) embodied in four Vedas.
2) Kim satkarma kim adhyat mam
Yadi widnjatum arhati
Sarwa shash treshu granteshu
Pramanam paramam shrutihi
What is good Karma? What is the science
of the soul? If you truly wish to know,
Shruti (Vedas) is the standard reference.
3) Aspashtam cha kada spashtam
Tatwadnyana wiwechanam
Anyatra labhyate kintu
Pramanam paramam shrutihi
THAT (Almighty Power) is described
sometimes clearly, sometimes not so
clearly, at various places. However,
Vedas is the standard reference.
4) Arsha granteshu sarweshu
Shruti pramanya mewacha
Sarwatah saramadadyat
Nija kalyana hetave
Of all the literature given through the seers,
Vedas is the standard reference. Extract the
essence for thy benefit.
5) Shushka wada ratah kechin
Nanya dasteeti wadinaha
Sarwe te wilajam yanti
Mithya kalaha karinaha
Those who proclaim that what they say alone
is the truth and nothing else exists are dogmatists
indulging in dry discussions leading to conflict.
They bring about their own destruction.
6) Nastikah weda nindakaha
Pakandah weda duushakaha
Ete sarwe wina shyanti
Mithya chara prawarta kaha
Those who malign the Vedas, those who bring
disrespect to the Vedas by their behavior, those
who attribute faults to Vedic knowledge, and those
who being Vedas into disrepute by their attitudes
merely spin the cobwebs of illusion leading to wrong
behavior patterns. They bring about their own destruction.
7) Yajnya daana tapa karma
Swadhyaya nirato bhawet
Esha ewahi shruktyuk taha
Satya dharma sanatanaha
Be engrossed in the Fivefold Path of Yajnya, Daan,
Tapa, Karma and Swadhyaya. This is the Eternal
Religion (Eternal Principles of Religion) given
through the Vedas.
